Speaking on Rock Sport mid morning Cowdenbeath FC Director David Allan said there were ” no hard feelings ” at the Fife club over comments made by Hibernian boss Neil Lennon after the Hi-bees 4-1 defeat in Aberdeen last weekend.
Lennon stated that Hibs played so badly at Pittodrie that ” even Cowdenbeath could have beaten them ” on the day.
The rock bottom League 2 club, who narrowly escaped demotion to the Lowland League last season, have once again struggled this term in the bottom division of the SPFL prompting Lennon’s comment which he has since said he regrets.
” It is the season of goodwill so Neil Lennon is still welcome at Central Park ” said Mr Allan, who has helped turn the self-styled Blue Brazil into a community club run by local fans.
Cowdenbeath travel to Peterhead on Saturday and the Bloo Toon are managed by Jim McInally who stated he thought Lennon’s comments about the Fifers were ” disrespectful ”
