Buddies Look To Keep Good Form Going v Raith On Tuesday

St Mirren can go to the brink of the promotion Play Offs in the Championship after a torrid season pre February in the second tier if they beat Raith Rovers at Paisley on Tuesday evening.

The Buddies have come back into contention for a place in the Premiership on the back of recent performances.

Lawrence Shankland scored twice as St Mirren beat second-bottom Livingston in the  Championship at the weekend.

Stephen Mallan converted a penalty to give the Buddies the lead after Darren Cole had fouled Calum Gallagher.

Liam Buchanan quickly levelled for Livi but Shankland’s strike from outside the box had the visitors ahead again by half-time.

Jordan White poked home for the hosts only for Shankland to fire an impressive volley and settle the match.

Raith beat Hibernian on Saturday in the 5.15 Kick Off and they will put further pressure on the Hi-bees in the promotion race should they take all three points in the west on Tuesday night.

Falkirk are currently 2nd, Hibs are 3rd and Raith are 4th but it’s still Rangers title to lose in an exciting Championship season.
