Spain Prep For 6 Nations For Scottish Women – Rock Sport

Scotland Women will face Spain at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow to help them prepare for the Six Nations.

Shade Munro’s side will take on the Spaniards on 21 January at 13:00 GMT.

The Scots will also use Scotstoun for the Women’s Six Nations meetings with France (10 February) and England (23 February).

Scotland open the tournament away to Wales on 2 February and also face Ireland (11 March) and Italy (18 March) away from home.

Spain narrowly beat the Scots in both legs of a World Cup play-off in November 2016, while a Scotland XV ran out 24-5 winners in an uncapped international in Madrid last month.

“The opportunity for Scotland Women to play a higher-ranked team ahead of the Women’s Six Nations is ideal,” said head coach Shade Munro.

“This will be a great opportunity not only for us to show how far the team has come in the past 12 months but also for individual players to put their hands up for the future.

“Spain will be at full strength, with the return of all of their sevens players, and will be a different proposition to the side we faced in November.”
